Hypochlorous Acid: How to Use it in Your Skincare Routine | Dermatologist Explains

Hypochlorous acid is becoming more popular in skincare lately โ€“ thanks, in part, to Tower 28’s SOS Daily Rescue Spray. But what is hypochlorous acid and does it help with redness and skin conditions like acne, eczema, rosacea, and more? As a dermatologist, I’ve used hypochlorous acid sprays in clinic to prep for treatments for years and have seen the benefits personally, so I wanted to make a video all about it.

  1. Our daughter is 13. She has facial acne and back acne. Suggestions for using hypochlorus acid please? Thank you.

  2. I use Hypochlorous Acid in many ways including wiping down my red light mask after use, wiping all my microneedling tools and counter area before and after, and spraying it on my hands and face before morning skincare. It’s really refreshing. Great video!

  3. Iโ€™ve started using this a week ago on my scalp for seborrhoea and also on my armpits since any antiperspirant and deodorants cause severe itching. So far, itโ€™s worked.

  4. Im curious if it can be used for adult toys? I always wash them after n sometimes before, so on the times that im inpatient would it be helpful or harmful?
