The END OF PDRN – From Viral To Fail In 12 Months

Lets talk PDRN skincare and how this once viral skincare ingredient went from korean skincare essential to fail in the space of 12 months. Whats going on and the best PDRN skincare

Hey guys and welcome back to Mad About Skin where in this video I want to share with you my thoughts on PDRN , once the hottest skincare ingredient to now seeing slide, products discontinued and people questioning whether it actually works.

Derived from salmon sperm, PDRN became one of the hottest k-skincare ingredients finding its way into all our skincare. In 2025 though there has been a significant change with people turning their backs on PDRN and here are my thoughts.

I have used PDRN for 12 months and I want to share with you my PDRN before and after results and what I think are the best PDRN serums for your anti ageing skincare routine.

If you enjoyed this style of video please let me know by giving it a thumbs up and a like.

  1. “In Korea, the cosmetic products sold as PDRN do not actually contain “PDRN”. Instead, they contain an ingredient called “sodium DNA”.
Sodium DNA is not processed into PDRN, so it is not absorbed into skin.
True PDRN is classified exclusively as a pharmaceutical ingredient and is only available in medicinal products.
Please be aware of this and exercise caution.

  2. ❌ Not for me. I’d rather spend money on something that has the science to back it up. Also not wanting to use animal products in my skincare.
